Corporate History

Premium Produce LLC was incorporated in 2013 for the purpose of providing patients in states with medical cannabis programs access to safe, efficacious cannabinoid medicines. Premium’s first operation in Las Vegas, Nevada began in 2014, when the Company was awarded two licenses from the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services that provided legal authorization to own and operate a cannabis business for the purpose of growing cannabis plants and producing medicines derived from cannabis. The Company obtained these licenses after completing a rigorous application process that drew more than 500 applications.

The driving force behind Premium Produce’s success is CEO Priscilla Vilchis. Vilchis, a Los Angeles, Calif.-based entrepreneur, is the first ever minority female CEO to be awarded two of Nevada’s tough-to-get licenses. The Company’s flagship brand “Queen of the Desert” is currently launching in Nevada, and as Premium Produce continues to evaluate viable opportunities for market expansion, Vilchis aims to bring her “Queen of the Desert” cannabis brand to California.

On April 17, 2017, Cali Premium Produce, Inc. submitted an application to cultivate medical cannabis and manufacture cannabinoid products in Lynwood, Calif. – located in Los Angeles County.

Since being awarded its Nevada cannabis business licenses, the Premium Produce has constructed an over 25,000 square foot, $6 million cultivation and laboratory facility in accordance with the Company’s state applications for cultivation and production in Las Vegas County. The Company is currently applying for a recreational cannabis license in Nevada as well. Premium Produce’s total investment to date has been $7 mm for its Nevada medical marijuana operations. Premium Produce has the opportunity to expand and double the size of the facility – $1.5 mm for building and $2 mm for equipment.
